NPPD sending crews down to Oklahoma

COLUMBUS, Neb. - An area energy company is sending help after a massive ice storm earlier this week.

The Nebraska Public Power District will be sending over two dozen people, along with vehicles and equipment, today to Oklahoma. Crews will be working with Oklahoma officials on the ground to help restore power to over 200,000 people.

This is the second time this year NPPD crews have been dispatched to help after a natural disaster. The first time was after the derecho in Iowa.
